When they can replace bearings

SANKYO bushings, including self-aligning spherical variants (e.g. SOBS), can replace roller or spherical bearings in applications with:

  • low speeds or oscillating motion
  • high loads and shocks
  • angular misalignments
  • dirty environments or where lubrication is not possible
  • high temperatures



In slow oscillating movements,spherical bearings can suffer from insufficient lubrication. SANKYO bushings eliminate this risk through sliding contact and self-lubricating graphite.
